See it, to believe it.

When you are making a purchase, do you go to a store? Or do you shop online? Maybe, you shop online first to find the best deal and end your journey in a brick and mortar business. How about when you are making a large purchase, such as a car or a house? Maybe you would consider doing research on cars and dealerships before even stepping foot on the lot.

Rendering, building elevations, digital commerce
An example of an elevation of a building, dramatically photoshopped into a sample city.

However you choose to shop, one thing is certain: you want to SEE the product before you purchase it. When shopping for clothes, you would try them on to see if they fit. If you are shopping for a car, you would like to sit in it and drive it around the block. Online shopping is growing, but our needs when shopping have not changed.

With the rise of technology and Virtual Reality software, new opportunities for customer engagement are coming to light. This is where 3D modeling and Rendering come to play. With the ability to model and render any object, clients can see what they are purchasing in a way that helps begins bridging the gap that services now have to cover. Clients are able to walk through spaces that have not been built yet, try multiple fabrics on a couch and see it in their living room, or even spin a model of a prototype that has yet to be made. With modeling and rendering, I am able to help begin the process of filling in holes that have recently appeared in our world.

Even before the pandemic, online shopping was on the rise. Now, it is growing exponentially fast. With the turn of the world, it has shown just how important the customer experience can be when it comes to influencing their purchasing habits. With the inability to now go see products in person before purchasing, the needs of the customers have not changed, but their options have. Smart businesses are now taking measures to provide these services in new ways in order to maintain customers. Real estate is moving online with the options to view homes in 3D from the comfort of your home. With rendering, clients can remain safely in their homes while still getting the chance to experience what you have to offer. Whether it is trying new paint colors on the wall and seeing how the sun will hit them, or even landscaping in a back yard, digital modeling and rendering can be a helpful and reusable resource that one can offer to their clients.

Whereas this pandemic has been the opposite of "ideal", the technology we have available to us has made this one of the better times in history for this to happen. Thanks to platforms like Zoom, people are able to work from home and not miss out on what is going on in the company either. With options like Ring, we are able to check what is at the front door without needing to get off the couch. Streaming platforms can bring any movie you desire, right to your TV in a matter of seconds - no putting pants on for the car ride to Blockbuster. Online apps now allow groceries to be delivered to our homes, and cars can pick us up wherever, and whenever. With so much of the world becoming digital, it only makes sense to apply that to more businesses. If you had the option to tour a digital apartment, would you? Nothing can quite replace the option of touching a fabric or sitting on a couch, but in a world full of social distancing, it is still one step closer.
